Dominik is dually qualified as general practitioner and epidemiologist and has worked at national and international level in infectious disease epidemiology and migration health. He has been one of the architects of the TB strategy for England, which he helped implement, including leading the roll out of the national latent TB screening programme, the health aspects of the UK refugee programme and the UK pre-entry TB screening programme. He has a demonstrated academic and strategic interest in infectious disease epidemiology and migration health, including several high impact publications and prizes. His work has informed national and international policy, including ECDC and WHO guidelines. He currently works as Senior Migration Health Advisor in the Regional Office for the EU/EEA for the International Organisation for Migration.

Deliana Garcia (Del) is the Director of International Projects and Emerging Issues for the Migrant Clinicians Network (MCN). In that position she has worked for 30 years to meet the health care needs of migrant workers and other underserved mobile populations. With expertise in reproductive health, access to primary care, chronic care management and infectious disease control and prevention, including vaccine preventable disease, Del is responsible for the development of new projects within MCN. She is responsible for the design and management of MCN’s Health Network, a global system of bridge case management to provide continuity of care and health records transfer across National and International border for migrants diagnosed with all health access needs.

Ioana has started her career as a MD in internal medicine in Romania. She then manifested an interest for lung sciences, then for tuberculosis, which led her to the Netherlands. Her PhD focuses on “common sense solutions” for tuberculosis, which involve the use of digital technologies and therapeutic drug monitoring. Her interests span a wide range, from organising events to systematic reviews and policy development.
I carved a niche for myself in linking academia and public health to pursue research with societal relevance that takes health services closer to peoples’ home.
Dr. Shikha’s work experience spanning more than 17 years in India includes expertise in infectious diseases, implementation of national health programs-TB and HIV/AIDS, academic research, translational and product development activities, pre-clinical and phase I clinical development projects.
Ending the TB epidemic will require improved access to quality diagnosis, treatment and care for all persons suffering with TB but especially for vulnerable groups such as migrants who face multiple barriers to accessing healthcare.
After he completed his doctorate in the molecular diagnosis and epidemiology of tuberculosis, Christopher proceeded to gain over 20 years of experience as a Microbiology Laboratory Scientist managing diagnostic laboratories in Australia and the Middle-East. In in 2007 he began work as the Global Laboratory Manager for the International Organization for Migration and was responsible for coordination of the IOM global network of TB laboratories for pre-departure TB screening of migrants and refugees. In 2010 he worked at the WHO, developing guidelines for the use of new diagnostic tools, and coordinating and expanding the network of TB Supranational Reference Laboratories. In 2019 he has returned at IOM working in the Migrant Health Division.

I have had the privilege to work with refugee and displaced persons for the past 30+ years, individuals have given to me more than I could ever give to them.
Susan has travelled extensively in Latin America, Africa and Asia working with displaced and refugee populations, developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for refugee healthcare services and surveillance systems, training young scientists, performing operational research, and responding to disasters, man-made, natural, and infectious. Her interests are infectious diseases research, including TB, in resource-limited settings.
Prof. Zohar Mor is a senior doctor in public health. He completed his MD from Ben Gurion University in 1999 and his MPH and MHA from Tel Aviv University. He was the head of the department of Tuberculosis and AIDS and managed the National Tuberculosis Program in the Israeli Ministry of Health. His main field of interest include infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis, HIV and STD and special populations, such as migrants, LGBT, prisoners and sex workers. He is the current President of the European Region of the Union.

Nicole is a clinician-scientist at the University Children's Hospital Basel (UKBB) in Basel Switzerland. She is a pediatrician and infectious diseases specialist trained in Switzerland, South Africa and Australia. She obtained her MD at the University of Berne (Switzerland) and her PhD at the University of Melbourne (Australia). She currently works as a consultant in pediatric infectious diseases and is the head of the immigrant health service at the UKBB.
Nicole leads the mycobacterial research group at the UKBB. Her current research focuses on the development of novel immunodiagnostic assays for children with tuberculosis and HIV-infected adults including novel antigens and biomarkers. She is a member of the WHO Child and Adolescent TB Working Group and of the pediatric tuberculosis network European trials group (ptbnet).
